These are some of my attempts to get a decent shot of some of the brighter objects in the sky using a Sony Mavica, Nikon CoolPix 4500, Canon 20Da, or Canon 30D digital camera alone, or placed up next to a telescope's eyepiece.   Not the best resolution because I tried using the small LCD screen of the camera to focus and I used the automatic exposure and focus settings on the camera...

Unless specified otherwise all images on this page were obtained with a Sony Mavica FD88, AE Sunset & Moon mode through a Televue 9mm Nagler eyepiece with Paracorr on a 20" f/5  Obsession telescope (328x magnification) from midtown Tucson, AZ. Additional zoom magnification has been estimated where applicable. No post image processing performed except for cropping and where otherwise noted.
